About Us

Edwards Design Solutions is currently based in Long Eaton. We currently employ two experienced lift designers with over 80 years of collective experience in the lift industry. We aim to provide a bespoke service to all our clients at a competitive price with quality and accuracy being of paramount importance

Edwards Design Solutions was formed in 2006 and can trace it's origins back to 2000 when Paul Edwards and Tony Foster formed 2d Design Services, an independent quality drafting service for the lift and platform industry. To this day Paul and Tony collaborate on various projects.

Paul Edwards

BSc BEng(Hons) AIOSH

Paul is the Director and Senior Design Engineer for the company and brings extensive lift experience to the company.

Paul is the first point of contact for both existing and prospective clients and is always available to ensure EDS provides a prompt and accurate response to all enquiries.

In his spare time Paul is a keen but inconsistent golfer.

Guy

Guy started his journey in the lift industry by completing an apprenticeship at Evans Lifts. He then worked for several lift companies including Otis and Propbrook before rejoining EDS in February 2018.

Guy brings his varied lift knowledge to the EDS team especially on modernisation work where his attention to detail is invaluable.

Guy was a keen Rugby Union player in his youth and enjoys walking in the British countryside.

Jamie

Jamie provides the company with IT support as well as providing 3D modelling for the company.

Jamie joined the company in 2014 on a part time basis becoming full time in 2017. He brings enthusiasm to all aspects of his work and is enjoying learning more about lifts.

In his spare time Jamie enjoys making music.

Zea

Zea is the newest member of EDS, having joined at the start of 2020.

She provides admin assistance, helping to keep the office organised.

She enjoys reading fantasy, learning about insects, and makeup.
